KR3A began in a workshop in Padenghe sul Garda, between a technical director who had spent twenty years applying film to impossible geometries and a curator who could not stop collecting surfaces.
Origin
A workshop, a lake, a discipline.
We started with a single conviction: that the interiors industry was demolishing far more than it needed to. A wall panel is rarely tired. Its surface is.
So we built an atelier around that distinction. Architectural film, sourced from the few mills that make it well, applied with the patience of cabinetmakers. Our first client was a hotel that could not afford to close. It never did.
Material honesty
A surface should not lie about light.
We refuse finishes that photograph well and live badly. A marble film must carry depth when the sun crosses it at four in the afternoon. An oak must hold grain under a downlight, not flatten into print.
Every finish in our library has been mocked up at full scale, lit, touched, and argued over. What survives goes into the box we send to clients.
Showroom
Padenghe sul Garda.
Five hundred colours and materials, full-height panels, north light. We keep sample doors, curved bulkhead mock-ups and a bar front in blackened steel so clients can see how a material behaves on the shapes they actually own.
